Abstract
Hydatid disease is a common disease in Iraq. Ruptured hydatid cyst is also a common complication
and fatal if missed .This study was planned to find the socio – demographic – economic distribution, the
most common way of clinical presentation and treatment of patients with this disease and to give idea
about better diagnosis and line of treatment.
This study has been carried on 25 patients admitted to Al Hussein Teaching Hospital in Al-Muthanna
governorate over a period of 2 years Post operatively the patients were followed for one year.
